This month’s FrankenBike will be held at the seriously awesome Ozone Bike Department. This family-owned-and-operated 20 year old bike shop is run with an excellent attitude and their entire staff is professional, considerate and very friendly. We’re lucky to have them in our community and happy as can be to be setting up at their shop for another epic day of bikes. Cheers Ozone! You people rock!
This month also marks FrankenBike’s 8 Year Anniversary and the first time we will be distributing our Free FrankenBike Map Posters. As well, one lucky person is going to win a brand new KONA Dew Plus Bicycle!
The random drawing will take place during FrankenBike # 95 at Ozone Bike Department and everyone who attends will get one free raffle ticket. Past bike winners, FrankenBike organizers, FrankenBike sponsors and owners or employees of Ozone Bike Department are not eligible. You must be present to win and you must scream in joy at the top of your lungs if you win the bike! Thanks KONA! Thanks a bunch!
ABOUT KONA: At Kona, we’re all about the freedom and empowerment of the bicycle. We have been since 1988. We still have the same founding owners. We’re still populated by a staff of keen, active, impassioned cyclists. We’re not big, nor are we that small. As always, our good friends and very first FrankenBike Sponsor Independence Brewing Company will be on-site with ice cold adult refreshments so bring your ID if you would like a cold one or two!
Austin’s Pizza will also be in attendance slinging hot slices and cold beverages to everyone with an empty belly and a love for pizza so keep them in mind if your wondering what to do for lunch during FrankenBike.
Press Check! We’re one step closer to getting the Map Posters and 100% we’ll have these (all 50,000) ready for distribution during FrankenBike # 95. We’ve been working on them for months and are very excited that they will finally be ready!

Wow! FrankenBike # 95 was awesome! Even with temperatures exceeding 110 degrees we still had an epic turnout of cyclist! Many thanks to Ozone Bike Department, KONA Bicycle Company, Please Be Kind To Cyclist, Juiceland, Independence Brewing Company, Austin’s Pizza and everyone who showed up or helped get the word out! You folks are the best! We also introduced everyone to our Free FrankenBike Map Posters which we will be distributing all over central Austin.
