Hey Folks, it’s a bit before 11am and we’re hanging out in San Antonio at FrankenBike # 1. We’re going to post pictures of the days events as they happen with a focus on what’s for sale right now. And, if you want, you can call and we’ll let you talk to any seller about his or her items. Here it goes!
This first set of pics are of some old school bmx parts for sale via Raymond and Gabriel. The mongoose frame is a 1980 or 81. Asking price is $100. The Skyway mags are NOS. Asking price is $100.
This next lot is from Henry, the San Antonio FrankenBike organizer. The 1987 Eddy Merckx has campy record and victory mix, rolf wheels frame size 55”. Asking price is $1500. The Raleigh is $120. Bars from $5-20. Crank sets $30-50 each. Mavic Tubular $50 for the set. Shimano wheels, 16 spoke, 9 speed shimano casset (hg70) contintal tires. $125.
The next pics or of Carlos and his lot. He added prices to everything he’s selling, too. Guess he wanted to make things easier for us all. Thanks Carlos!
Then on the Blue table, we have stuff from Justin. Not pictured is an old school pro flex he just sold for $40. He’s selling everything from $5-20. BTW – That’s a ready to paint lugged bianchi frame for $20!!
Robert and Rick selling a few old school bikes. $45 for the purple schwinn and $85 for the cruiser.
Eric and his son Jens with a small lot to sell/trade. They’re up from Brownsville and talked with about hosting monthly FrankenBike Swap Meets there, too. We hope to hear from them in the next week or so and get everything lined up.
That’s Phillip from Austin standing next to DJ Jose. The first song he played was by the Bad Brains. Rock on.
Wow! A lot more people showing up as I type and upload pics. It’s about 12:30. You should get down here people. Seriously.
It’s now Tuesday and I have to say FrankenBike # 1 in SA was great! By my count there were just over 200 people in and out during the day and a lot of people bought, sold or traded a lot of quality bike stuff. Thanks to everyone who turned out or helped promote Saturdays event. Hopfully we’ll get to see you all again at FrankenBike # 2 along with the new faces that are bound to turn up.
